It mainly consists of key components such as the frame, movable jaw, fixed jaw, eccentric shaft, flywheel, toggle plate, and adjustment device. All components work together to achieve the crushing function:

1. Core Structural Components

  • Frame: Adopting an integral cast steel or thick steel plate welded structure, it features high strength and rigidity, capable of withstanding the huge impact force (maximum crushing force up to 1200kN) generated during the crushing process. It provides stable support for the entire equipment and prevents structural deformation caused by vibration.
  • Crushing Chamber: Composed of a fixed jaw (fixed on the front wall of the frame) and a movable jaw (swingable jaw plate), the chamber is designed as a "V"-shaped deep cavity with an effective feed volume of 0.15m³. It adopts a "tapered" cavity structure - the feed opening is 500mm wide, and the discharge opening width can be adjusted within the range of 50-100mm. This design not only ensures that large-particle materials enter smoothly but also realizes gradual crushing through cavity wall extrusion, reducing over-crushing of materials.
  • Transmission System: Using an electric motor (usually a 30kW-37kW three-phase asynchronous motor) as the power source, it drives the flywheel and eccentric shaft to rotate through a V-belt. The eccentric shaft, as a core transmission component, is quenched and tempered with 45# steel, with a surface hardness of HRC28-32. It can drive the movable jaw to perform periodic "swinging + squeezing" movements to achieve material crushing.
  • Safety and Adjustment Device: The toggle plate (also known as the thrust plate) not only transmits power but also has an "overload protection" function - when uncrushable objects (such as iron blocks) enter the crushing chamber, the toggle plate will break due to bearing overload force, avoiding damage to other key components. The discharge opening adjustment is realized through a gasket set or wedge device, allowing flexible adjustment of the discharge particle size without disassembling the equipment to meet different production needs.

2. Working Principle

The PE500x750 jaw crusher works based on the "compression crushing" principle, with the specific process as follows:

  1. Raw materials are evenly fed into the crushing chamber through a feeder and fall into the gap between the fixed jaw and the movable jaw;
  2. After the motor is started, the eccentric shaft is driven to rotate through belt transmission. The eccentric movement of the eccentric shaft makes the movable jaw swing back and forth around the fixed hinge at the lower part - when the movable jaw approaches the fixed jaw, the materials in the crushing chamber are crushed by extrusion, shearing, and bending forces;
  3. When the movable jaw moves away from the fixed jaw, the crushed materials slide down along the crushing chamber to the discharge opening under the action of gravity and are discharged, completing one crushing cycle;
  4. The periodic swing of the movable jaw (about 275 swings per minute) continuously realizes the process of "feeding - crushing - discharging", forming a continuous crushing operation.
